If that was the problem why didn't he say so? I've been mentioning the tshirts every now and then and all he has said is that the problem is with the printers. I think what was decided for the design was Tori's eyes on the front, the 'tori amos' hair writing on the back with logo. No quote was selected. The tshirts were suppsoed to be black (after everyone decided the winning design would look better on black than purple). It seems a bit ridiculous that when the tshirts are wanted for a Melb meet they look like getting done in a week. When all the tshirt stuff started I got excited about getting a tshirt, like it was actually going to happen this time. That we still don't have one does kind of irk me, but it's not like I am pointing a finger solely at Andrew for that (it's just the nature of things, voting etc takes it's time). I gladly accepted that Andrew was having troubles with printers, and Rachel's post made it seem like the real problem was that he didn't have the files, which completely turned the tables on what I remembered. I have gone back over old messages and have only found Andrew mention once that he needed the files (there may have been more, that's all I have), and with him getting quotes I assumed (yes, making an ASS out of ME) that there were no other problems. That the files news came from Rachel and not Andrew also seemed a bit shady. So I admit that I should have remembered Andrew mentioning he needed the files, let alone making sure he had them. And I shouldn't have been lazy and simply hit 'reply all', I should have emailed him personally. And my post wasn't intended as a flame, though I can now see that it could be read that way. I think LE is an amazing collection of songs, and contains many of what I consider Tori's finest.. but UTP was my 'first' Tori album.. and on the whole, I think is a bit um.. better produced. I love the strings on UTP. It's a nice mellow album. And Tori looks great on the cover. It's only down point is "The Waitress". Nathan. . Take a deep breath. Think nice tori thoughts. You're intentions are good, logistics are hard. Reminds me of singing Cher's "If I Could Turn Back Time" as "If FUCK Could Turn Back Time" when I was 11 years old.. hahahah. You can sing it like that and it still sounds 'right'! Nathan. I have sorted this out with Andrew offlist and we are fine now....of course publicising oztori is great and we should do that! > as andrew has said, the quotes he's been getting for tshirts are around $60 > each! he has been endevouring to do his best, but you can't honestly expect > one person to put together 50 or so tshirts, especially when you all keep > changing your minds about what colour or design or style you want! I doubt 50 people would want t-shirts....I could be wrong, but I would be guessing around 20 people...that's about how many people regularly post to this list..and surely Andrew would have known there would be quite a few that would need to be made. > i am so fucking sick and tired of all the bickering that is going on here. > > i've fucking had enough. all i was trying to do was help andrew out because > he was having trouble with the tshirts, and trying to publicise oztori at > the same time, but all i get is flamed for it. settle grettle! nobody was flaming anybody! it all just seemed a bit strange that's all, and Lavs and I were just a bit frustrated with the whole t-shirt thing cause it hasn't happened once before when it's tried to be organised, and we both worked really hard on our designs and getting this t-shirt put together..and it hasn't happened...so, we were just a little disappointed. > i've just had a fucking horrible day at work, my severe depression has > recently come back, i dont fucking need this right now. > > thats the last time i try to fucking help anyone here. you are allowed to help....nobody said you couldn't....I was just trying to clarify a few things first is all....I never said anything really mean to anyone about this...and Lavs has also apologised for her post...so can't we all just get over it and be friends? I just wanted to clarify for everyone, that I have sorted this out with Andrew now and wanted to publicly apologise to Rachael..so Rachael, I am sorry if you took my email (s) the wrong way..it wasn't my intention at all. Neri =8O) P.S. if anyone wants to say anything spefically to me, then please email me offlist...I think we have aired enough of our dirty laundry onlist =P ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 7 Sep 2001 05:48:05 -0700 (PDT) From: Nathan R Subject: Re: [oztori] Oh Tee.... As much as I love Siobhan, her 'singing' voice could never be objectively described as "amazing" by conventional standards. > stay tuned for nathan's biography of her though ... > hehehe Hehhe...
