If so, very gently wipe away with a 'soft cloth' (I use a hankie m'self) in a straight line from center to edge. If you can't see anything 'wrong' in a particular area, then it could be: a) your player is stuffing it up, not the disc b) you lack an eye for detail and weren't looking carefully enough. But apart from that, CD's really aren't that hard to keep in good nick IMHO. Just use common sense - ie, handle them only from the center n' edges, always put them back in their case, and *NEVER* lend them to anyone else... ever ;) Nathan. . Does anyone know if you can do it through TAFE but at home? I went to the TAFE website but it was very unclear about it all. See - i still want to work full time and split it over 2 years (just do year 12 - not 11 again) so i can do it after work/on my lunch break when i usually play solitare for an hour. Just an idea i'm tossing around at the moment - but i'm finding it hard to find info on how to go about doing it at home. Any help would be muchos appreciated! I'd say the best way to find out would be to call your local Tafe, and ask whoever runs that department there. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to do that though. How embarrassing. Kinda like posting to the >list, "Kate, by the way, I've still got those Bros >CD's I borrowed from your friend." I feel the need to clarify this for both John's and my rep. My best friend is completely musically - how shall i put it - deaf? Her favourite band is Matchbox 20 and i asked John to d/load and burn me a copy of some live/rare tracks of theirs as a present for her. I was being nice - and he was being even nicer by doing it for me! My Last Two New Years Eves - A Modern Tradgedy It was 1999/2000 so it was a big, special night. Of course, we were dirt poor, and 21 years old. With fabulous outfits. Six of us set forth, one left as soon as her mobile rang - better offer - things were off to a good start. Before we got to our destination (the Court Hotel if you know it) we had to stop in "to see a friend". Who failed to deliver!! During the general chaos that followed, our resident princess went down with a broken stillie, threw a fit and went home (she eventually showed later wearing sneakers hehe). After lots of drinking (oh, and new years - what a non event!) we all got split up. After a while I found my roomate being totally unscrupulous with a leathered old 40 something man-thing. This was enough for me dramatically flare that I was leaving - and I did. Got all the way home utill I realised he had the keys. So I walked down to the foreshore (South Perth) to watch the sunrise. It was at about 8am that I woke to the sound of two girls giggling their heads off. Then of course I see their parents behind them. 2000/2001 was alot better. We finally caught up "with that friend". Just three of us set out to a house party - resplendant with three bedrooms converting into a) dance b) chill out c) can't remember. still, we ended up high as kites in the city at 5am looking for a Taxi. And Jesus Christ did we find one. We get in, thinking it's all nice and cool and lovely. Then the mad fiend drives off at 100kms in a FIFTY ZONE with his seatbelt flapping in the wind! Needless to say, this was *not good* in our current states! We did make it and we did report him (eventually). But the cool thing about this new years was gently falling back to earth to sounds of beth trailer park and central reservation.
