There are things that matter more than money. Becoming rich from the proceeds of a manufactured pop band may be a valid path to happiness, but all the money in the world will not buy love. Without which happiness is a hollow shell. As opposed to a warm gun. On Natty's Break-Up Situation: My advice is not to listen to music, which only has limited potential of applying to the specifics of your situation, but rather to get up and create some. The best treatment for and emotional trauma is catharsis, which is best achieved though expression: bringing OUT what's INSIDE. So write it down. Crafting a poem or a song will clarify how you feel as you choose the words. Or if you don't like words, paint or draw picture. Or make something out of clay. Be sure to keep the product of your creative output. NEVER through this stuff away - it is useful to look back on later in life when you face a similar situation. You will get over it much easier if you think 'been there, done that'. Anyway, That's all we feel compelled to say right now. I must go call a boy in BrisVegas... But there's this side of obsession and passion where one party thinks the other party is doing something to them--and sometimes people aren't always looking at their part in something. In 'Suede,' she knows what she's up to; she knows what she's been doing. " this is why I like it...for what the song means. I get the impression, that in Suede she is talking about being at odds with people...like, opposite sides of the fence on certain issues...perhaps religion...I for one don't agree with all of Tori's views on religion, but that doesn't make me think any less of her either. The line "there are day I feel like your twin. peekaboo. hiding underneath you skin." kinda says to me that's when she feels on the same level with someone...or in agreement, and the lines "call me 'evil' call me 'tide is on your side' " etc and some other parts of the song, seems to be the parts where maybe she isn't on the same level as someone else..it's also like realising how you can affect someone by things you say..whether what you are saying is justified or right or whatever...it's kinda like, a "don't judge me" song in my view...perhaps aimed at people that misunderstand Tori and what she stands for or something. I dunno, I just think that a lot can be taken from the song..this is just one take I have on it at the moment....sometimes my take on the song can change...I just think it's a song that can operate on so many levels is all.. " this is something else to think about in relation to suede....hmmm..I read so many quotes from her about suede....so many things can come from it..but it all seems to come back to the same thing...of you being an evil person because of some belief you have, or something you have done..
