(this, of course, doesn't stop me from owning several gigs of mp3's. what can i say, they're convenient ;) ) so, how's about we stop bashing the new album, *until* it comes out, *until* we've had a few months to properly digest it, and certainly *until* we've seen some video clips ;) regards b-sides, i guess i can't say much because i haven't heard all that many of them. but, and i think nathan r said this, (my _god_, nathan r said something relevant *boggle*), utp's b-sides raaawk. they shit all over the others. with the thought that she might want to pull out of this contract, thus give them a shitty last album because it'll take less time ... i could see that happening, but i don't think it's likely. remember that tori is one of the (relatively) few artists who _actually_ appreciate her listeners, so i don't think that she'd do that. besides, if she/atlantic wanted out, the easiest way to do that would be to release a 'greatest hits'. though, i suppose you could say this is a greatest hits in the sense that it's 'other peoples greatest hits'. blah. hum. i've liked all her stuff so far, so i'm guessing i'll like this album too. i'll just wait and see. zac ================================================== zac ariel - web junkie m: 0414 229 299 e: zac@bit.net.au p/w: zac.home.dhs.org b/w: www.level21.net ================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Aug 2001 17:58:25 +1000 From: Simon Metcalf Subject: [oztori] Re: oztori-digest V1 #112 Does anyone know the date that SLG will be released in Australia? PS. There are two new pictures of Tori on "The Dent", her characters for "New Age" and "Enjoy the Silence" check 'em out! In the older "New Age" pic, Tori looks like Uma Therman in Pulp Fiction, it's her Uma photo! PPS. It cracks me up when you see 'newbies' on the Dent, who only heard of Tori a year or so ago, and think that her b-sides are GURRREEEEEEEEEEEAT because they have Purple People and Merman (which are fine, but the LE and UTP ones are largely better, IMHO). > Yes, this is true.
