[=?iso-8859-1?q?Daniel?= Subject: [oztori] Didolemma (OT in cas eyou hadn't worked it out) I am officially the world's #1 hater of Ticketek. Stupid website.... nothing was available till like 6:30am this morning about the Dido tickets, and STILL they hadn't even listed the price. So, I cleaned out my bank account (all $140 of it) and went along to Ticketek to get my Dido tickets. I arrive there at 8:55am after a mad rush. I ask "how much are the Dido tickets?", the man replies "$72.50". I nearly burst into tears at that second. I couldn't believe it. I was $5 short on the two Dido tickets I had to buy (the other was a surprise thank you gift for a friend). He asked "why so glum?", I told him my dilemma, to which he replied "It's ok, I'll put in the $5 for you, give you the receipt, and keep the tickets here, and you can come back tomorrow and pick them up with the extra $5". So.... to the man at Box Hill Ticketek, you are my hero. I love human acts of kindness, they so re-affirm my faith in humankind. YAY I got my Dido tickets!!!!! REALLY! Date: Fri, 17 Aug 2001 19:08:09 -0700 (PDT) i just HAVE to brag about this... i'm going to the US in october so i'm gonna be seeing our darling tori in Charlotte! yee-haw! so... since i'm not all bad... i thought this might be a chance to make oztori's presence felt. i was thinking something along the lines of a huge card with personal messages from fans, or even a petition, just to show her that she does have a following here. we could put in a bit of stuff about oztori, our RAINN efforts, and even tell her we'll pay to get her out here (lol). so... thoughts? does this seem a good idea? i think it'd be a nice gesture, if nothing else, to show tori we haven't forgotten her. tell me what you think, and how you think we should goabout doing this (if at all). in other news... thanks for the feedback on my poem. and is anyone seeing SFK/Powderfinger??? the tix go on sale on monday. ~danny (makes me sound young - because i am, aren't i? - and distinguishes me from the other dans. good new name?) ===== It's been a while - since I could say that I wasn't addicted - It's been a while - Since I could say I loved myself as well - It's been a while - Since I've gone and fucked things up, just like I always do - It's been a while - But all that shit seems to disappear when I'm with you ---- (Staind) Make international calls for as low as $.04/minute with Yahoo! If, perhaps, at each of the Tori parties we have slips of paper where people write their name and a small message to tori and we can collate them all into a giant card/book and send that over with Danny [your name has stuck! lol]. People not attending a party could mail me/someone their own slip of paper and we could add it later. What do people think about this? We'd include a covering letter asking why hasn't she toured and saying that we love/miss her and support RAINN, and how we want/need a free 24/hr RAINN-line here in australia as well. what do people think? xoxo Dan ;) ===== one false move, and you're dead, ah...
