TOO EASY. you know if you are willing to pay costs to get her here i am sure that someone on this list could get her details and then someone could call her up. the shit (pardon the language) you can do these days is amazing so i'm sure someone could call her up and beg/plead/con her into coming even if it is just for one day (what is that from - just for one day, i've got that song stuck in my head now and i dont know what it is) >Jasmina (is that your real name? Weak trax : Happiness is a Warm Gun & Raining Blood [although I'm sure they'll grow on me] Top trax : Real Men, New Age, Enjoy the Silence, Heart of Gold Other track : I'm Not In Love. Explanation : this is a brilliantly crafted song I think. Its just that noone had performed it correctly yet. No, not even Tori. Although I'd love to hear it live - I think she'd so the Juarez thing with lots of banging of piano strings and self. I'm off to listen again now. Bye! *hugs* Dan ;) PS - Yes, its a GREAT album to drive along somewhere to, it flows marvellously. ===== one false move, and you're dead, ah... Help! Insomniacs read only... (OT) Hello night owls/ragers/insomniacs!! Is anyone awake at the moment? it's ummm...1am or something.... I need help. Does anyone have any idea how much the Dido tickets are, or even just what time Ticketek opens in the morning? I thought some opened at 8:30am, and the rest at 9am? I desperately want Dido tickets, and oh so conveniently the Tickeshmuck website has been closed for renovations, just for tonight. How true to form on Ticketek's performance of late.... popular concerts go on sale tomorrow, so they close their website. *Flame* So, if anyone knows.... can you let me know by, like, 7:45am on Friday morning? T'would be greatly appreciated. Having listened to it about 20 times now i think i can comment - although briefly 'cause my lunch break is almost over. Weak tracks (IMHO) - 97 Bonnie & Clyde, Time, Heart Of Gold Stand-out tracks - Real Men, Rattlesnakes, Happiness Is A Warm Gun, Strange Little Girl, New Age, I Don't Like Mondays, I'm Not In Love (what Dan dislikes about it is exactly what i like about it - he think's it's boring with just her voice and beats - but i think it highlights her voice and all the little torisms she does with it that i adore...so i love it!) about Happiness Is A Warm Gun - it's long. It's very long. clocks in at just over 10mins actually. If you just sit there and listen to it - it feels long too - but if you have it playing in the background it's f*cking fantastic! Real Men is just great. Possibly my favourite at the moment. That's about it! It's bizarre along the veins of '97 Bonnie & Clyde but SOOO different! The first 3 mins I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but by the 9th minute I was hooked. "Mother Superior Jumped The Gun..." In about 10 mins I'll have all the tracks from the album (except Rattlesnakes), I understand that it sort of does defeat that whole "buying a new album and running home just to hear it" specialness, but at the same time - - I'm soooo eager to hear these songs and if they are available I CAN and AM. It definitely DOES NOT mean that I don't need to purchase the album - in all of it's formats, and the artwork will be enough to make it special for me. I have promised myself that I'm not going to make a CD with these tracks on. So I won't hear it outside my puter before the rest of the world. I so can't wait to hear them all - not demos, not bad copies etc... Anymore word on the B-Sides? If any? If ANY singles are released anywhere..... :) Paul M ------------------------------ End of oztori-digest V1 #107 ****************************
