There was an online petition run by Planet Tori and advertised on the dent - plus petitions were also left at Red Eye records and similar shops in other states with them being sent to Tori's management. Okay, so first things first - IMHO, "I'm Not In Love" is the biggest piece of shit tori has touched in her life. I'm talking, complete CRAP. It's a really boring song, and though her voice sounds nice, there's just not enough in it to make me want to listen to it again. that being said, the rest of the album is fucking amazing. Highlights for me are: "Time", "Real Men", "New Age" and "Happiness Is A Warm Gun"... Also, in the past where the music has always been as important as the vocals, I think this album stars Tori's vocals. At times they're breathtakingly beautiful, other times you're just kinda going "come on honey, give us a bit..." but as usual, she sounds great. *sigh* At times the instrumentation is sparse, ala "I'm Not In Love" or "Enjoy The Silence"... and then you have "New Age" and "Heart Of Gold" which feature fantastic guitar... and "Time" is absolutely beautiful - Tori and her piano. Just Tori and her piano. I'm not going to offer a detailed analysis of each of the songs, because I've only listened to it twice, and can't really offer much at this point (i'm presently making copies for some lovely people... if anyone wants a copy, feel free to mail me a CDR! - provided of course you will still buy the real thing...) All this in chunky high black boots. So my feet are complaining, but my ears are not (unless INIL is on, of course. bleugh. I like fricking Agent Orange more than this song).
