I just had a thought... why can't we get the Oztori site put as a >link from the toriamos.com site? Or even thedent.com? Just a thought, might >help boost our exposure. that is a thought, but is it just me, or has anyone else tried to go to those links and half of them dont exist aymore or some other crap, i went through them all the other night and kept getting crap, it wasnt very entertaining, but how funky is that flash intro to www.toriamos.com, its so funky, i never really wait for the flash intros to load but i really like that one >If you weren't a rabid Tori fan and you pick up the album and Tori >is 'Seductress', or 'Thinker', or 'Smoker', or 'New Age/Librarian', you're >probably going to think that is her new look and judge the album on your >impression of the pic. But if you see the diff pics, you're probably going >to realise they're characters, that there's more to this than one >dimension/pov. never thought of that, but the good thing that can come from that is that those who don't liek tori's style because they thinkg she sounds 'too sleepy' (the description i've been given mnay times) might see it and think hmmm...pop or somethign else and buy it impulsively to hear something new, if they see the new pics they might think that it must be a GREAT new album and buy it just because there is a whoel heap of diff covers to it, so it must be something good, good things and bad things can come (there is so much weird stuff on the news, i'm listening to it in the bg and they are talkign abotu mucus or some crap, very weird stuff in the news, there must be nothing happening in the world) oh, i was watching the swimming the other night, does anyone know what those little green stuffed toy things are that they are giving them are? they look funny ok, bye byes jas ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 30 Jul 2001 17:35:24 +1000 From: "Lavenda" Subject: Re: [oztori] SLG nooz > oh, i was watching the swimming the other night, does anyone know what those > little green stuffed toy things are that they are giving them are? they look They were a creature from Japanese mythology and I now can't for the life of me remember their name! What a pity YKTR wasn't released with 4 different covers. I'm sure we coulda had a lotta fun with that. > i hope sexy librarian...i'd rather buy four of that > one! YES! Firstly... welcome back :) Secondly, boyyyyy have you missed out. I don't think I can possibly catch you up on what's been happening in Tori land. Your best bet would be to go to the dent and get updates there. There've been far too many to attempt an update via email! However, if anyone feels the urge to prove me wrong, feel free. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 31 Jul 2001 02:01:20 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Daniel?= Subject: [oztori] Tori Amos Newsletter Hey all, I just read this in the toriamos.com newsletter : In the coming weeks we will be introducing a new character that Tori portrays on Strange Little Girls including video interviews of each character and essays by author and good friend of Tori, Neil Gaiman. The first single, "Strange Little Girl," written by the Stranglers and originally released in 1982, tells the story of a little girl who'd run to a rough town and come back feeling older and colder. The photo above accompanies this song. I love the idea of video interviews with each character!!! I hope this makes a commercial DVD/VHS release! Natalie Merchant did a similar thing with her "Ophelia" and it really is a wonderful video. Incidentally for those who don't get the newsletter, the "photo above" is the very first one we saw, with the short black hair and eve tshirt. So perhaps the single cover then? So if its the single cover, that means it'd be ruled out for the other album cover we haven't seen yet...but this is all getting rather exciting, don't you think? Her name is Cornflake (b/c she's a rabbit...etc etc) and how cute is that a name for a bunny? Anyways, my sister and I accidentally left two loaves of bread on the futon one night, and I came downstairs the next morning, and the little bugger had hoed into one of them! I was at first a bit annoyed, but then not.... wanna know why it became amusing rather than annoying? She only ate the raisin bread.
