And I was soo hoping for a differnt one. Also, if you look at those three pics touted as covers, they are written StrangeLittleGirls, so caps but no spacing. Which I guess makes it diff in a way. > The UK "Strange Little Girl" single is reportedly > released on Sep 3. [Nathan says, "wow... they're > actually going to release a single there this time. > I'll believe it when I see it."] That's a late release then, since the single is what, mid Aug here and the states? I haven't listened to B&C or SLG since getting back, and I've decided nto to download HOG (which always makes me think of HHGG ;). SLG I did becuase it's the first single, B&C I jsut couldn't help myself because I was so curious. But other than that, I wanna experience it as a whole. Of course, disiplin is not my strong point, so I may cave in. OK, dinner time... I had to go back over, thinking "I didn't bloody just see 'it's raining men' did I??" . Thankfully, the answer was no. And now I sleep peacefully at night. On the images, I really like them. They remind me of the work of a photographer I really like, Cindy Sherman. Sherman uses herself in her photos, dressing up as many different characters, both female and male. Sometimes, you can *just* tell that it's her. So, yeah, they're very Sherman-ish. I like em. I always expect the 'strange' and unexpected from Tori, so I'm actually looking forward to seeing more of these characters, and to hearing more of the songs. Or maybe I'm just overly optomistic. Hope we all had a smashing weekend. On Tori's covers for the album.... I like the one of her with the cigarette (not because I'm a smoker of course!). I hope we get that one, the others just seem... a bit pretty? Funny though, I find them quite amusing, to see what image she's trying to portray. Hmmm... that's all. Things seem quiet at the moment? In other news, I'm seeing Burn The Floor on Tuesday! Hahaha we won the tickets through a radio station when we were away on holiday with friends. Yes, I was the drunken lout on ally's long kiss goodnight. Sort of a cross between the bounce of Raspberry Swirl and the coolness of her cover of "Ring my bell". Or is this just me? > On the images, I really like them. Actually I spent most of the night listening to it and crying, well for a variety of reasons.. not merely because it's about a guy murdering his ex-wife. Personally I think about a third of Eminem is pure genius.. not the third that bags everyone under the sun or the other third that does all that ego-scratching rap music is so notorious for, but the one that creates these desperado characters like in '97 Bonnie and Clyde and Stan. Its so nice to see a 'pop' act [i don't like calling her that because I don't like pop, but I like Nelly] who writes and performs her own stuff [she doesn't just sing, ya know!]. If you weren't a rabid Tori fan and you pick up the album and Tori is 'Seductress', or 'Thinker', or 'Smoker', or 'New Age/Librarian', you're probably going to think that is her new look and judge the album on your impression of the pic.
