Tori Amos covers an Eminem song on her next album. The track is 97 Bonnie and Clyde, from the rapper's 1999 Debut. Amos has always performed interesting covers in concert and as occasional bonus tracks, including Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit and Somewhere Over The Rainbow. This time she is delivering an album of covers, including the title track, Strange Little Girl, originally by the Stranglers. The album, set for a September release, also features songs by Neil Young and The Beatles, Billboard reports. - --------------------- OK, its not exactly new news, but I thought I'd send it along anyway. Does anyone think I should send it off to The Dent, as a scrap book sorta thing?? I just heard from my other buddy at Warners, and he said that Alanis has new stuff coming through there in a MONTH! !!!!!!!! I am quite excited. He didn't say what it was, but he keeps in touch, so *fingers crossed* oh, and speaking of alanis, has anyone heard the Tricky song? I heard it on JJJ the other day and she sounded great :) On the Tori front, my Warner dude said he hasn't yet heard the album, but he's looking forward to it (who wouldn't be?!?) and that when it comes in he'll let me know (and i already asked him to save all promo stuff for me!) woooooohoooooooo! I'm a very happy camper this morning. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 10 Jul 2001 10:01:27 +1000 From: "nina riddel" Subject: [oztori] rocking horse >OK, I just got home from town and came across a CD sale at Rocking Horse >Records... (hi, I'm new, name's Nina...) I got the Tori video for $18! I had just given up trying to find a cheap one and I was on my way to Record Market to order it in for $30+, and there it was! Oh my god, those videos are great! > >I'm STILL yet to listen to Radiohead's Amnesiac and Bjvrk's Selma >Songs!!!!!!!!!!!! I just needed to find the right time to listen to them... Amnesiac has some great noises (sit in front of the speakers) but isn't ads gripping as Kid A. Selmasongs is wonderful, wonderful... I just don't wanna pay $30+ for only 7 tracks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, Alanis has got a new album of new stuff coming out here very, very soon. I'm surprised you didn't know!? It's hardly been a secret!!! For those equally music insane, Bjork's got a newie coming out this year too if I'm not mistaken. My friend knows a lot about it, I can't remember what it's called, I'll ask him (but I'm sure the music industry people on the list would know stuff about it). Why hasn't there been any tori stuff in the Melbourne papers? Or have I missed it? I wanna see these photos!!!! *wail* I wanna hear stuff I already know but nevertheless get excited to read about again!!!! *wail* ~Andrew~ - -----Original Message----- From: owner-oztori@smoe.org [mailto:owner-oztori@smoe.org]On Behalf Of Hill, Renee Sent: Tuesday, 10 July 2001 9:12 AM To: Aussie Ears With Feet (E-mail) Subject: [oztori] Alanis/Tori Well. Nina, hi, where ya from? The Rainn parties are being hsoted in a number of locals to raise funds for RAINN as part of a global b'day bash thing for Tori.
