What is right in this type of situation? What made his actions 'right' in his eyes? I don't see that question nor answer. What did he know that we didn't? He was a modern war "hero", as the military admitted, so what turned him into a monster? Perhaps the most important question I'd want to ask is: What are you hidding? Why hide it? *has more but gives up* Do the usual. Lie through your teeth... If we're alive in 100 years time, perhaps we'll see the truth then, just like the Woomera deal now. I was actually thinking more along the lines of PJ Harvey for the role of War. Tozza could be Agnes Nutter I think...just a small cameo role type thing. When reading I occasionally cast the whole book. Crowley is to be played by Seth Green Anathema is to be played by Alyson Hannigan or Kate Beckinsale. Either/or - provided Aly can do British accent! Aziraphale is to be played by Ewan McGregor [because he always gets a role in one of my castings and I think he'd be good at it] Adam & Them are to be played by some unknown child actors, but Pepper could be the girl from Harry Potter. Shadwell HAS to be played by Sean Connery Madam Tracy by Judi Dench [because she's cool] Trent Reznor ought to be in there somewhere... Marylin Manson could be Famine I'm thinking. Polly as War. I'll stop now, I've run out of ideas. > p.s. sorry to anyone for reading this email, cos i > know it must be boring > but folks, that book i mentioned, man its the > funniest thing ive ever read, i > recommend you find a copy and read it, Yes, I second this. Damn, I'm smart. In my defence, I only just figured out how to join Smoe last week. Uh, well that wasn't much of a defence. I have a degree! It's true! I wasn't going to respond to the 80's cartoons thread, but then I got great piece of information about my favourite last night. My favourite was always "Danger Mouse". It was such a surreal little cartoon. And the mole was very strange looking. Anyway, last night I was listening to the radio, and the DJ happened to mention Danger Mouse. He said that it was sudenly taken off the air, after the makers slipped an episode past the censors in which Danger Mouse crushed up some flowers and snorted them up his nose! I have no idea whether that's true, or if it's an urban legend, but it's a good story. And while I'm here - I've only ever been in one production in my life, but in that production, I played the Ocean. It was a very big part for a 12 year old girl to take on, but I think I managed it with aplomb. Plus, I got to wear the coollest blue cape, and a lot of hair-glitter. Tori relevancy... Oh, War in "Good Omens" always reminded me of Tori, too! That is a ~fab~ book! Angela Alice _____________________________________________ Free email with personality! I'm alive! My mouse died (on the computer - i don't own a real live mouse...) and i wasn't able to anything other than switch it on for a week until i replaced the mouse (which i acheived today) so i'm now sifting though over 120 oztori emails! (not exactly sure how many there are but it's an awful lot!) and have a few things to reply to (note - i have only read about 30 of these emails so if anything is already said/irrelevant whatever and you have a problem with it you can shove it up your left nostril!) 1) 80's TV shows - fav's would have to be "You Can't Do That On Television", "Inspector Gadget" (I wanted Penny's book!!!!!) and Punky Brewster!! (i had her t-shirt and official Punky socks! - plus i used to always wear odd socks like hers too) 2) Song i'm listening to RIGHT NOW - Special Ones - George. I've got the film clip taped and i keep rewinding and playing it!!! In my bedroom however i have Paula Cole "I Don't Want To Wait" playing (i'm making a mix tape for a friend who is a Dawsons Creek fan...) 3) Timmothy McVeigh - should NOT have been executed. He should have a life sentence and have to live it out in jail and actually do TIME for his crimes. No-one has the right to play God - and deciding who should live and who should die is doing exactly that. I completely agree that what he did was horrible - 165 people died and 165 families/friends of people have had their lives changed forever but maybe a better punishment would have been to keep him in jail and any one of the family members/friends of the ppl who died are allowed to come and visit him and say whatever they want to him. Giving all the people he killed a personality in his mind would *hopefully* make the rest of his life absolute torment because he might actually feel some regret about what he did instead of just 165 random names - they would actually be people to him. However since Americans are a strange breed and love killing people - they should have at least not broadcast if for god's sake!!!!! It's just sick! Yeah - lets all sit and watch a man be killed for the fun of it - oh don't forget the popcorn! American's can be really fucked up at times. 4) Homepage stuff - well it's already up on the site so look there - because i can't be bothered typing it all out again... 5) Jason & Dan - WEEEEEEEEEEEEE on the whole Lisa Germano thing!!!!
