Yes, I get it cut : - ) Umm...Tori stuff, well... I reorganised my car today! Whilst on cartoons, does anyone remember the name of that Wizard of oz spin off type cartoon that was on really early in the morning on the ABC?? This was going back to the early 80s mind you... anyway, was it just me or did the seasons of that particular cartoon just go on FOREVER? It just seemed like they were never ever going to make it to the Emerald City. Speaking of which, I had the freakiest customer yesterday, a real Wizard Of oz NUT. He nearly creamed himself when I told him I had a boxed set of some of the novels in the set (ok, too much information perhaps). We're off to see the Wizard (and go to a 21st of a person whom I dislike), the wonderful wizard of oz!! ~Andrew~ PS> In grade six, in the primary school performance, I played the Lion when we did the Wizard Of Oz. LOL. I remember my costume falling apart half way through the show and me having to hold it together for the rest of the show. Ok, THREAD TIME!! What is the funniest/weirdest character you have played in any kind of performance? Mine would have to be a "slimey", in a dodgey sec. school musical, where I was dressed only in wrecked garbage bags and it was my job to look like trashy, rubbishy slime. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Jun 2001 01:22:26 -0700 (PDT) From: Nathan R Subject: [oztori] slimey trash, my garbologist son Andrew Darwin said: > Ok, THREAD TIME!! I dressed up as a leprechaun in Grade 5 for book week - - and won a flourescent orange pen as a prize. (how extravagant!) Was there ever an end to that show? There are few show where they never get 'home'... Keeping with the Wizard Of Oz theme, in my high school's production of the Wiz in...er...1996 I worked backstage. But because the art department got carried away with the whole psychedelic trip theme of the play, the sets were the backstage crew dressed in tshirts and pants painted black and white striped and we actually played the scenery. it was bizarre. throughout the production i got to be a house, a cornfield, a sex siren [don't ask] and a tree. other people got to be signposts, clotheslines, tornados and flowers as well. but we also had our faces painted black and white striped, and the day there was a matinee as well as the evening show we all just left our makeup on and went down to strathfield shops in full makeup [normal clothes though]. we had us striped faces, the munchkins had little hearts painted on their faces, tin man was all silver, there was a lions face and all...it was fun!!! i'll stop reminiscing now. but the year after for "bye bye birdie" we hired proper sets and had to wheel them on or off, but i managed to nab the job of curtain guy so i had an easy job. and in second grade, me and my friends [we were the cool group, believe it or not] would always put on plays and stuff for the class and one week we did a completely improvised version of alice in wonderland...it went on for SOOO long eventually the teacher had to stop it, but it was completely off the cuff and everything was going at once, we had so much fun...but i got to be the white rabbit. but we didn't dress up. and, sadly, there was no prizes [a box of comfits and a thimble]. okay i'll stop being a sad alice in wonderland fan now. in other news...i'm about to call jason to see about stalking lisa germano tomorrow! oooh just realised...stalking lisa germano...not a good thing...she'll end up writing a really scary, depressing, brilliant album about it...yes okay... in tori news? erm...kate still has my sessions tape. yes. that will do. oh! serious tori news!!! i'm gonna email the email address from the mq uni newsletter to see about hosting the dj evening there, but what date would be good??? i was thinking first friday in october, which would cover any delay in actually getting a copy of the album, what do people think? let me know! black or boring, dan ;) ===== people honk at me i shake my fist sometimes give them the finger i don't know why i always lie to you - - jane siberry "barkis is willing" Get your free @yahoo.co.uk address at http://mail.yahoo.co.uk or your free @yahoo.ie address at http://mail.yahoo.ie ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 10 Jun 2001 03:50:06 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?Daniel?= Subject: Re: [oztori] Wizards and cartoons... this whole kids tv thread is getting scary...i used to watch Teabag religiously!!! i think there were about 6 different missions...but the one i remember most vividly was collecting the numbers...and her playing cricket to get the number 7...was bizarre but so much fun...why can't adult tv shows be so fanciful? *sigh* dan ;) - --- She who is called Michelle wrote: > Aaah!
