She needs to do a co-headline with Trent and do Past The Mission together. That would be nice. > I think it makes Tori sound somewhat > 'pedestrian' and a tad boring-esque compared to the > unpredicatbility of her solo live performances. Yes. Definately. I was thinking maybe she should just have her on piano and matt on drums [I think the drums give the music a bit of oomph that isn't really there otherwise]. Caton is really starting to annoy me, he just sounds the same on every song. And those painted nails and sunglasses and hat only look cool on people who are cool. I think the most exciting moment on the show was...er...mental blank...the bit where she started playing something just solo, then Matt picked it up...then the rest of the band came in and spoiled it. But I liked what she said in interview about finding a drummer who matched her. She lucked in there. So, yeah...something. Past The Mission & CALS were the higlights...although CALS needs harpsichord I think. Oh, I remembered the solo + drums was in iieee. Yay. doobydoobydoo. Sessions was excellent, agree with the notions that Tori loses a little something with the band. Here's hoping she comes to play for us and it is a live show and we get some sort of special tour CD promo again!!! The guy on Sessions is David Byrne, lead singer of Talking Heads, he himself is not known as the most normal of beings which goes some way to explaining his interviewing style. He is not a journalist, he is a musician, I really liked the interview. I thought Tori took him more seriously than others (ie. Richard Kingsmill) and that it was a nice jerky angular conversation, where Tori did get some circular thoughts happening. Cool - Is the Buffy viewing in Sydney and if so, where ? You don't fool me with you seemingly innocent, 'let's see where y'all are from' routine. I know you only want to know where we live so as you have a few Tori fans to stalk ;) But having gotten that off my designer-stubbled chest (I'm just kidding there, by the way): > Ok, now i know this is usually an excercise in > futility, but how abouts > a roll call for members and where we are all located. Roll call, hey? "Absent!" ;) Elsewhere, Jean Jean Jean with a hallowed heart typed: > I thought Tori took him more seriously than others > (ie. Richard Kingsmill) Oh gawd Richard Kingsmill is a dick! Well, I suppose he is quite literally if you abbreviate his name. Oooooooooooh where did those little square things come from in my post? I've no idea. Um, there was a point to this somewhere, Unfaithfully yours, Nathan. "are we in love yet?" . Yahoo! The only decent hosts JJJ ever had on during the day were Helen Razor and Judith Lucy when they had the Ladies' Lounge. Tori content - who else here thought it was hilarious when Tori sang "you're full of shit!" on Sessions' Caught A Lite Sneeze? It would almost be *worth* pissing off Tori, just to have her say that back to you... soooooooo funny. Nathan. "I'm gonna bury my head just for you I'll be your silicone doll if you want me to" .
