My friend just bought a copy from borders a few days back (despite the fact that borders are evil and he should've gone to HMV) and it had no bonus booklet. The bonus booklet is HOT. Imagine my surprise when, stoned out to the edge of oblivion [-DW], The rear tray inlay which I thought was a cool enough secret picture as it was, fell out and turned into two pictures. One of which then turned out to be a whole booklet! I thought I was completely f**ked. Well, even more so at any rate. Sheer brilliance. Very disturbing CD that. I think Tori should do more work with vocals. q.v. 'Everything In Its Right Place' - cut up and backwards and what not. Her voice is what gave me shivers way back when, and got me hooked. The rest of the music was incidental - her voice is so mesmerising. Or perhaps she could do a Petra Haden 'Imaginaryland' style instrumental vocal album. Or evn Just a Jane Siberry 'Hush' multi-layered vocal thing. Multi-layered vocals are HOT as Lisa Germano will attest to. All of the above is not enough [-DC] but listen and you will not be disappointed. I haven't checked it myself, but is there tennis on next week? Or they're skipping the Wednesday and the next one won't be till Tori's on the next Sunday. Wow... 4am, that's gonna be me in a week or so! - ----- Original Message ----- From: Celeste quinn > Lo there, > Just curious about something. At the end of tonights/this mornings 'sessions' with PJ Harvey and Chocolate... thingy (hey, I've got infomercials attacking me right now), the voice over said "next week,... we..have Tori Amos...". True the voice over was american, but if 9 keeps with the "next week" bit, that'd make it the 24th wouldn't it? Which date is the right one, as I'd like to tape it. Anyone know? > > On Sat, 12 May 2001, "sarah banks" wrote: > > *****HERE'S THE CORRECT INFO:****** > > Tori's Sessions at West 54th performance will be aired nationally on Channel 9 in Australia at 3:50am on Sunday the 27th May. Note: as the show is aired early Sunday the listing appears under Saturday in TV guides. Anyone wanting to tape the performance should double check with their local TV guides just in case programming isn't uniform across all states. > > > > PS, If you like PJ Harvey, check out her performance on Session this Wednesday 16th (not 17th, as I reported in the PJ forum) @ 2.25am (listed under Tuesday's viewing in your local guide) > > PJ was very dark and very good. Didn't realise she was English! (sad brain-dead git aura) In a strange way, she makes much more sense now. Thought she was too good to be American. ;)P You know it took me a while to realise Tori was American and not English. The fact that she lived in england for a year might have something to do with it... Just wanted to make a couple of comments on the t-shirt designs that I did. The flutterby one...a few people mentioned that they thought the quote from "Butterfly" would be good...or from "Mary" .. but I have been so busy that I didn't get a chance to put the quote on that picture...so, if it turns out that everyone likes that one in the poll, then I can make that change if everyone thinks that it'd look good. I would just do it the same with the neon glow around it...and could change the font too if need be =P Same goes for all the others as well...like, if the font isn't liked or whatever..it's really quite hard trying to please everyone! LOL Anyways, that's all... Love Neri =8O) P.S. I did a variation on the angel/devil picture in a banner form but didn't send it to Dan (thought I had!)...so, whether or not you'll see that one or not is up to Dan *big puppy dog eyes* tee hee I did it ages ago...and thought that I had sent it! oh well.. toodles! ------------------------------ End of oztori-digest V1 #9 **************************
