It was very similar. Justin was in great form, having lots of fun interacting with us in the crowd. He and Peter Adams (?) had a variety of sidebars and seemed to enjoy playing with each other. I was happy he played for almost two full hours, and after missing his solo appearance here two years ago, was so excited to finally see him live again. Main set: Always the last to know Man with nothing to do Jimmy blue Long as you don't come back Just like a man At home inside me Anywhere i'm away from you Tell her this The way that it falls What is love for Driving with the brakes on Nothing ever happens Can't let go of her now Make it always be too late (beautiful - and at first, I thought he was going to play Before the Evening steals the afternoon, and so I got really excited, but then it was this, which was still great.) Not where it's at (with some campy dancing and acting) Fight to be Human Encore (which he called, "Ahhh...the great charade.") Fred Partington's Daughter (first two verses) Be my downfall This side of the morning You'll always walk alone Gold dust No surrender Requests were being shouted out all night and while I thought he heeded a lot of them, after seeing Leah's set list, I think some of the shouting was just more timely. What was funny were his responses to songs he probably wouldn't have minded singing, but didn't remember. After a very loud "Drowned on Dry Land" request, he said he honestly didn't remember the words at all. As for "In the Meantime", he said he remembered it up here (pointing to his head), but not here (waving his hands). Anyway...that's my report. Jaymes Reunion was fun, too, as an opening act and worth checking out. It was just the lead singer (Cameron Jaymes).
