All, De-lurking again - what twice in five minutes...? Just to get you thinking on another track, as it were. A professional musician friend of mine, Vince Freeman, is planning to record an album later this year of covers from the 80s and 90s. He has a great, slightly husky singing voice as well as being a great musician and songwriter, and all-round nice guy. You can hear him here - http://www.myspace.com/vincefreeman. I would like to know what Dels song you think would suit his voice, assuming that he could get permission to record it. Many thanks, Sue ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 May 2009 14:07:42 +0100 From: "Sue Rowbotham" Subject: OV: OV and All, De-lurking for a moment or two... It is good to have been part of a group of like-minded people for ten years, even though things have been quiet for a while... maybe we need to be more techno-savvy and move to Facebook or MySpace or something else - or has that already happened and I missed it? At least on those applications we could share photos and stuff. I know that a few of you have a presence on MySpace, as does Justin... Just a thought. Anyone able - and willing - to set something up? My rare appearences on here are more frequent than news of Justin and The Dels. Just saw a message that my old buddy Laura has been having hospital treatment. Laura we've not spoken for a very long time but I wish you the speediest of recoveries. Take care hon. Apart from increasingly rare blasts of Dels, what music is everyone enjoying or watching these days? I was lucky enough to see DEVO twice in the UK this week, absolutely fantastic powerhouse gigs. Can't believe, even in their advanced stage, how powerful they are and the energy they put into their shows. As for new music, I haven't really found anything to overly excite me recently - loads I like but hoping to find someone new to love. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 10 May 2009 08:00:30 +0000 From: "Joe Brady " Subject: Re: OV: Re: oppositeview-digest V10 #5 Hi Nigel.
