It was very exciting. That's all! I had no idea he was going to be on, this is one of my favorite shows, so lucky for me I was watching. It was disappointing he only performed one song, 'Still in Love', most guests perform three songs. I have his performance on my DVR, if there are no objections, I can record the audio and make it available as an mp3 to the group. You can watch clips here: Interview: http://www.sundancechannel.com/videos/230326089 Performance: http://www.sundancechannel.com/videos/230326080 Homer ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 03 Sep 2008 08:46:22 -0500 From: Homer Hinojosa Subject: OV: Justin on TV Correction to my last post, I said BBC America, I meant Sundance Channel. from http://www.popmatters.com/pm/post/62575/live-from-abbey-road-show-11 : *Justin Currie*, perhaps best known as lead singer/songwriter for Del Amitri, only performs one song during his Abbey Road session, which is a bit unusual for this program, but it's a great song. Currie lets us in on why you must be superstitious about writing songs, or any writing really: "Because no matter how hard you work on it, it doesn't make it any better... and the songs that you consider to be good, just come along---in a highly mysterious fashion." His performance of "Still in Love" from 2007's /What Is Love For/ is a deep and haunting. It's a ballad for piano and strings, which showcases not only Currie's ability to write a stunner, but his talent for elevating a great song even further on the strength of his voice. You can just imagine what the room gave back to him. Homer ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Sep 2008 16:43:25 +0100 From: "Porl" Subject: OV: Re: Justin's tv appeareance Buggeration!!! I thought this hadn't been on yet. Yet anything would be welcome.....mp3's avi's wmvs..anything at all Bit of a jip, only doing one song.
