As usual, he sounded fantastic and the show was filled with his entertaining brand of chattery (although I'm sure he'd take some offense to my use of the word "brand"). Unlike the Hotel Cafi in LA, the Largo stage wasn't as cramped -- it was a roomy, traditional theater stage with bits of gear (keyboards, guitars, accordion, etc) scattered everywhere. He actually brought out a bassist and drummer for a few songs in the encore, which was a very cool surprise. I've already forgotten some of the setlist -- here's what I remember (I'm sure the order beyond the first and last songs is completely off): What Is Love For Not So Sentimental Now Always the Last to Know Tell Her This Something in That Mess What I Think She Sees Be My Downfall Still In Love Make It Always Be Too Late In The Frame Not Where It's At No Surrender Encore: (a few songs with band, I forget) Gold Dust (full band) Driving with the Brakes on (full band) Sleep Instead of Teardrops - -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Alright folks, can you fill in these lyrics for me from "Can You Do Me Good", one of the b-sides that fades in at the end of the album as a hidden track: "Great Britain sits like ____ on the ____ of the world" Or something like this? I'm at work and it's driving me crazy is all. Cheers :) ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 12 Jun 2008 23:21:34 +0100 From: "Neil Matheson" Subject: Re: OV: lyrics!
