Iain and Kris also produced and played on her second album. Tim Finn has asked Eileen to support him at some of his US gigs. I'm sure she'd love to see any Delfans there. As well as being a very talented singer/songwriter she's also a very funny lady and she and her husband Seth Goodman are two of the nicest people you could meet. 5 Feb 2008 20:30 The Double Door with Tim Finn Chicago, Illinois 7 Feb 2008 21:00 The Courthouse with Tim Finn Toronto 9 Feb 2008 19:30 Tin Angel with Tim Finn Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 13 Feb 2008 20:00 Club Passim with Tim Finn Cambridge, Massachusetts 14 Feb 2008 20:00 Eddie's Attic with Tim Finn Decatur, Georgia 18 Feb 2008 20:00 The Belcourt Theater with Tim Finn Nashville, Tennessee 19 Feb 2008 19:30 The Cactus Cafe with Tim Finn Austin, Texas She's also doing quite and extensive UK tour in March and April. Sure, I have been a fan of Del Amitri for many years and Currie's voice and songwriting has always been special to me. But this record moved me in a way I haven't been moved in a while. It touches me so deeply and the songs are so real that the music feels like it is aliveliving, breathing, touching this is how music is supposed to effect us. The CD became a friend to me, a companion. If you have ever been in love, good or bad, you need this record. Currie is a master songwriter and it is a crime that he hasn't received the accolades he deserves. Do yourself a favor, pick up "What Is Love For" and remind yourself why music pumps the blood through your veins. - -- - --- Happiness depends chiefly on our cheerful acceptance of routine, on our refusal to assume, as many do, that daily work and daily duty are a kind of slavery. --Le Baron Russell Briggs ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 11 Jan 2008 09:58:40 -0600 From: "Leah Heino" Subject: Re: OV: WILF: best-of 2007 list oh, I forgot the main point. He named this as his #1 best album, not just on the list. I don't find it anywhere on the website...received it in an email from my husband, who knows him. But that's the site for his radio show.
