I know that makes me sound terrible LOL, "What a stuck up ignorant bugger" I hear you cry, but honest it's not like that Hehehe. It's just it's happened in the past where you get people coming up saying nice things about you and praising the show and it's nice and I really appreciate it, I really genuinely appreciate they support, and I'm 100% glad they enjoyed it, coz if they have then I've done my bit right, but there is only so many times you can say to them "Thanks very much, I appreciate it, glad you enjoyed it" before it starts getting really awkward, and then you can't keep repeating "Thanks very much, I appreciate it, glad you enjoyed it" again and again as it becomes insincere, but you can't just stop saying it and not thank them for thanking you coz then it sounds like you don't care what they think......and couple all that with the fact that I don't fair well anyway with people I've never met, and the whole "Meeting the audience" thing for me doesn't seem all that attractive. So on the meeting musicians (Justin) after the show thing, I don't tend to feel like I should, for fear of doing that to them. Putting them in that uncomy situation that I sometimes find myself in. I know that for some muscians they don't feel this way, in fact I'd hazard to say that most muscians don't feel this way and I'm probably coming across right now pretty messed up. But there you have it. So in theroy I'd love to meet Justin but in practice I fear it wouldn't go well. Really, I think it's of great use to go up to him and say "thanks for the gig, it was great." What musician would scorn you for that? Their income depends on the sounds that come from their fingers and vocal chords, so no matter how jaded (musician or not), people appreciate being appreciated :) I'm just jealous I'll probably never get the chance to see him play live...
