(I'm a teacher, for those of you who don't know/remember.) After years of editing and revising and reading to my classes, the book has finally been published. It's called The Vonnesta Project and is the story of an eleven-year-old boy (Jeremy) who, one day, finds a secret doorway in his bedroom. Behind it is a long, dark and winding staircase leading down. The man who built the house 125 years before is somehow leaving cryptic clues for Jeremy and his best friend to solve, in order to make their way to the bottom and see what lies below. I have set up a website, if you want to find out more: www.vonnesta.com Or, feel free to just go to www.amazon.com or www.barnesandnoble.com and check it out yourself. Search under "vonnesta" or "wartik" (my last name) and it should come right up. Thanks, David ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 24 May 2006 13:55:28 +0100 From: "Sue Rowbotham" Subject: OV: Here's to more shameless self-promotion David, Congratulations on being published! I know what it a thrill it is to see your words in print - something about opening the first boxful, and smelling those freshly printed pages isn't there? I co-wrote a book on the history of my home town in England - 'Cheltenham A History' - published in late 2004. Also available from www.amazon.com.uk or www.amazon.com - search for 'Cheltenham Rowbotham' - so if you know Cheltenham, or you would like to know more about my beautiful Regency home town ... How many more OV authors (published or unpublished) are there out there? I know that we have at least one novelist and one talented artist in our midst as well as plenty of aspiring and successful musicans ... What other talents do we have out there in OV-land...? Dave, You should never feel bad about letting all of us know about your successes. If I were in Chicago, I'd be at every show. Please, continue to let us know about your successes.
