Hi Simon Welcome to OV. Great to have another long-time fan here. I agree totally about the B Sides. If you are missing any several of us have MP3's of the whole lot and can send them to you - either by email or on CD-R. You'll find people here are more than willing to trade. Also, you've joined at just the right time, with the run-up to Justin's solo album Rebound, to be released sometime later in the year... You can hear some new tracks at www.myspace.com/justincurrie And you're not the only one here to have fount true love through Del Amitri. We've had at least two trans-Atlantic marriages between listees! Jane > Just thought I'd say hello to all you out there in Opposite View land. > > I'll come clean now, I'm a lapsed Del Amitri fan who has nothing more than a passing interested in their albums since Twisted, but still has great affection for the first three albums and all the b-sides to the Waking Hours era singles. And the single version of Hammering Heart. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 04 Apr 2006 19:34:18 +0100 From: Wilson Associates Subject: Re: OV: Hello from mr. newbie! Talking of b-sides, I have been busy recently filling the blanks in my CD collection with a view to obtaining as many of these b-sides as possible, also some more live stuff, which is great too. Does anyone have a complete discography? The link from the website is no longer available and it would be good to know what I was looking for! On the same subject, what's the deal with 'Medicine' - I have found (but not yet purchased) a copy of CD2, which claims it was never released, but no sight of CD1? Can someone clear up this little mystery for me? Thank you in anticipation Steve Jane Armstrong wrote: >Hi Simon > >Welcome to OV. Great to have another long-time fan here. I did one a long time ago, but we really should make a complete discography for DelAmitri.com. A couple of folks had good sites with good discography's on them... but I don't have the links anymore, does anyone else? >On the same subject, what's the deal with 'Medicine' - I have found >(but not yet purchased) a copy of CD2, which claims it was never >released, but no sight of CD1? Can someone clear up this little >mystery for me? There are in fact 3 different singles for Medicine, but only #2 ever shows up for sale. I've *seen* the #1 and #3 singles, but don't have them in my collection. These became the SOSP singles. They have the same b-sides as the SOSP singles. If you have those singles, you have what was on the Medicine as b-sides. Clear as a double half caf half decaf cherry soy milk cappacino? As I thought. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 5 Apr 2006 13:39:21 +1000 (EST) From: Michael Holt Subject: OV: Justin and Hybrid Recordings I asked if the reason there was uncertainty about the release date for "Rebound" was because his signing had not been finalised. The response, in its entirity, was... he has been signed and the record has been delivered Now we just wait a little longer.
