I may try to put together another song, if time allows. Is there a deadline? Also, can you refresh my memory about which songs, besides mine ("Belong Belong"), were covered for this project? My memory's foggy. ;-) Thanks, Rachel - ---------------------------------------- > From: darren@bendbroadband.com > To: oppositeview@smoe.org > Subject: Re: OV: ... and we all sing along like before 2 ?? > Date: Tue, 14 Mar 2006 15:27:26 -0800 > > Okay, here goes... > > A volume 2 (if you will) was started, but we were only able to gather > about 5 tracks. It was really noisy and on the next table there was a very loud American telling his friend (and indeed the whole pub) what a great blues guitarist he was and how much he knew (or thought he know) about the history of the blues. Through all this racket I could just about make out the fact that there was some music played somewhere, and managed to recognise Good Tradition by Tanita Tikaram when the blues man went to the loo. Suddenly though, I heard some familiar chords and a voice we all know and love. But it wasn't a track I would have expected to hear in public. Someone was playing Surface of The Moon on the pub's PA. There wasn't a juke box as far as I could see, and the tune which followed it was CSNY (or whatever combination) singing Love The One You're With - so they weren't playing the whole album. I guess someone must have just put together a compilation of songs they liked. It's certainly not a song I would have thought anyone other than a dedicated Delfan would have played - and it was a very pleasant surprise.
