Let's see. Muddy Waters - Hard Again (Good old fashioned blues) Deke Dickerson & The Eco-Phonics - Melody (Good old fashioned rock-a-billy) Michelle Malone - 1986 - 2006 (a "greatest hits" from Michelle) Eric Clapton - Radio concert from 1983 (My latest used cd store find) Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street (A classic that always hits the spot) Liz Phair - Liz Phair (Still trying to wrap my ears around this one. Some great tracks to be sure, but...) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Feb 2006 11:11:10 -0800 (PST) From: debbsc67 Subject: Re: OV: OT-Nothing much... I'm with you on James Blunt. I think he's HIGHLY overrated. I was working in Galway for a month back in September/October and every time you turned around they were playing a snippet of that horrid song on a TV ad. I've never heard the whole song and have no intention to! I just got the new Franz Ferdinand CD, but haven't listened to it. I realized that I haven't changed my CD rotation in my car for MONTHS. I do have a Dels cd in, though. It's the very first one, too! I need to switch it out. Thanks for the reminder. In the car's CD changer, I've also got Butterfly Boucher, Dido, Evanescence, Powderfinger, and something else I can't recall at the moment. (That's what happens when you only live 5 miles from work and barely have time to listen to it. LOL) I know it's a wide variety and probably sounds completely psycho. Oh, I remember the other one...Travis. Anyway, I'm looking forward to whatever we hear from Justin (not Timberlake LOL) whenever we get the chance. debbie - --- Elizabeth Osborne wrote: > Hello, everyone. It's very different and something of a surprise for someone like me who hasnt heard these tracks before - but I think his voice sounds fabulous, esp on Have and Don't Need which has something of a bluesy feel and really shows his vocal range. Now Justin singing blues would be my idea of heaven ! Enjoy! I'm friends with Ross and GarryJohn and have had these songs for a while. It was so weird to find out that my two favorite bands, Del Amitri and The Proclaimers, had made this fusion. It's like heaven for me! (Ross is the drummer for the Procs and GJ plays bass). Stuart Nisbet also used to be with the Proclaimers...
