They are also expected to be joined by enigmatic trio The Blue Nile, who have been tipped to make a rare live appearance in the city. Del Amitri frontman Justin Currie, 80s pop outfit The Bluebells, Middle of the Road and legendary rockers Nazareth could also perform at the event, which will be held on January 27. Events director Rony Bridges said: "The response from all the artists has been overwhelming." Another appeal concert, dubbed Jazz Aid, has already been organised for tomorrow night.
