There is a 4-track album for download on i-tunes right now, in anticipation of October's full release of Firestarter. However, two of these tracks are remakes of tunes from their 1991 album (Jimmy Eat World), and the originals are infinitely better. Of the two new tracks, one appeals to me, and the other I find dismal. There is none of the energy of their first release anywhere; it's just flat. rw >From: "Rachel Wifall" >To: "Opposite View" >Subject: OV: What will be spinning in my CD-Player >Date: Thu, 5 Aug 2004 11:07:52 -0400 > >Some brand-new release I haven't gotten my hands on yet: Jimmy Eat World's >Firestarter. Can't speak for the place myself. NOW SPINNING Been listening to a wide variety, one disc at a time: Mission Of Burma - On Off On (great stuff, still relevant) Consonant - Consonant (Mission of Burma's Clint Conley plays with them ... also very good) Survivor - Too Hot To Sleep (hey, cut me some slack, I'm the product of 'Midwest Arena Rock') Seancham - Rebel Massive (this is the band playing in Derry on 14 August (www.seanchai.com/t_b.htm) QUESTION ONE As a recent list joiner, do I understand that there are some Dels concert recordings out there? More to the point, how can I get my hands on some (I don't have anything but greenbacks to trade, sorry). QUESTION TWO What's the deal with Uncle Devil Show? I've not heard one track of theirs. Is this something that all Dels fans can agree upon favorably?
