I asked the folks at P3 if the UDS album was still getting a US release. This was the response: "Yes the album should be coming out around August time on the Compass Records label." So that's good news for those over here who haven't gotten it yet. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 9 Jul 2004 08:28:36 +0100 From: "Jane Armstrong" Subject: OV: RE: Andy > I seem to remember a neat guy who posted here regularly in > the 'good ole days' who was related to Andy Alston... if he's > still here, I wonder if he has heard anything from Andy about > the breakup of the band and future recordings or solo > projects. Every time I hear an accordion these days, I think > "I sure miss Andy..." That's Chris Fleming, and I think he's still around. I spoke to Andy at the UDS gig - though I didn't understand half of what he said because it was so noisy, he tends to mumble and he was ever so slightly inebriated and I can never understand half of what he says anyway, but basically he's lecturing at college and playing the odd wedding gig at weekends. Well he's got a couple of kids and a mortgage to support! But I got the impression that he'd go back if the Dels ever got together again.
