Anyway, as a suggestion from another cousin, > I've started listening to them and their not bad at > all. There are a few catchy songs.... > debbie Oh yeah, I know that band! Evanescence has been on our turntable since right after we heard some of the songs in that movie 'Daredevil'. I like 'Bring Me To Life' a lot, but I think my favorite song is 'Tourniquet'. Amy Lee has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard; what a powerhouse. The guitar work on the album is good too, which is of course a 'must-have' for me to like it... I've also got Sanctus Real, Detour 180 and Switchfoot on the turntable too. Good bands, all of them. Oh, a new find is Summer Hymns - think Neil Young meets REM and that's kinda what they sound like. May I ask everyone a question too, regarding the Dels web site www.delamitri.co.uk... now I'm usually the last to know but yesterday I went there and was shocked to see its turned into a Uncle Devil Show ad with only a discussion forum and somebody named Dom's email address as webmaster. I thought I spotted Alison, Jane and Hilary on the members list but with so many alias listed I didn't recognize anyone else... (Alison, I did visit your site too and was relieved to see its still as cool as ever!) Where in the dickens did Kevin's site go??? Is Kev still here on OV??? TTFN Susan ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 30 Jun 2004 22:25:28 -0400 From: "Teresa Couch" Subject: OV: Dels & Atlanta A local tv station just aired a profile on long-time concert promoter Alex Cooley--founder of Atlanta's "Music Midtown" festival. During a set of clips of previous "Music Midtown" performers viewers were treated to a glimpse of our own fave Scots. Yep, there was Justin twirling across the stage wearing a kilt. This was May 12 1994 if I remember correctly......I know that show was where I took the now infamous "kilt shot" of Justin down on his knees wailing away. Were any of you other GA OV-ers at that show? Geez.....what a great night that was! Has it really been 10 years? For that matter it has been almost five years to the day when I last saw the Dels in Chicago July 17, 1999. Too long...... As long as I'm here I may as well weigh in on the UDS album. LOVE IT! Great job, Justin...er Jason...anyhow I'd know THAT voice anywhere! I have pestered all my friends to give it a listen and they all love it. "Very Beatle-y" "Great harmonies" "Where can I get this thing?" were some of the superlatives I've heard. Bittersweet seeing that "Music Midtown" clip but I thought it was way cool that out of 30 years of shows from Cooley the Dels were remembered!
