Lewis, I don't know how to tell you this. Perhaps you'd best sit down. Justin and Iain were recording a new album entitled "Black Coffee, Brown Sugar" using session musicians. The accounts are all a little sketchy, but this much is clear: the drummer - Sparky Roland - spontaneously combusted. It seems The lads were quick on their feet to help, but not quick enough. Several charred corpses were found in the burnt-out studio. Although no survivors were found and it's unclear just how many musicians were in there, there are reports that the body count didn't tally. There are even Conspiracy-Theorists who believe that Justin and Iain may have even staged the whole event to fake their own deaths. Some fingers point to the fact that Justin was due to take part in a shotgun wedding the next day. I guess we'll never know. Del Amitri fans, stricken with grief and with little social skills had difficulty coming to terms with the shock. A crisis meeting was held, and we decided just to pretend it never happened. "But what about concerts, gigs, TSHIRTS (ahem), and websites? We can't pretend there are singles getting released, websites getting updated can we?" asked one Joseph Brady. "NO!" said a handsome Half-Scots/Half-Irish half-wit "we'll simply pretend that JC & co have changed their band name. We'll focus our attentions on an emerging pop group, following them and insisting the we know who they REALLY are". Anyway, I could go on, but my solicitor says it could jeopardise the forthcoming trial in the case of Barr, Herring and " " vs Stalker and/or Stalkers unknown. Anyway, support The Uncle Devil Show. It's them. It is. It really is. Even if they say "no" they mean "yes". Mr T p.s. Buy a t-shirt. www.tshirts247.com. Go on - they are really nice. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lewis Slade" To: "(Opposite View) Del Amitri List Post" Sent: Tuesday, March 16, 2004 11:36 AM Subject: OV: Up to speed....
