Four oddly dissolute-looking young men in the pub were undeterred, however. "We know the words to the song we want to do," they insisted. The hostess expressed doubt, saying that despite her years of karaoke experience, she forgot lyrics if she couldn't see them. "But I wrote the song," one chap replied. "Aye, right, son, that's what they all say," said the hostess. Eventually, though, MacIntosh's resounded to a karaoke version of a Del Amitri hit, sung by Justin Currie of Del Amitri.' [Of course, given Justin's record of forgetting lyrics at gigs - and even during radio performances, it's a wonder he didn't need the screens :-). No doubt he was pleased to be referred to as a "young man" though!] Cheers, Neil _____________________________________________________________ Save rainforest for free with a Planet-Save.com e-mail account: http://www.planet-save.com ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Jul 2003 16:06:41 -0400 From: "Guy-Michael Grande" Subject: OV: OT: New dels-inspired music offer from GMG - update tests=HTML_40_50,HTML_MESSAGE,REFERENCES version=2.53 X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.53 (1.174.2.15-2003-03-30-exp) X-Converted-To-Plain-Text: from multipart/alternative by demime 0.97c X-Converted-To-Plain-Text: Alternative section used was text/plain Sender: owner-oppositeview@smoe.org Precedence: bulk Hello gang, Just wanted to say I appreciate your feedback so far on my offer to share my new CD, "So Much Of What I Wanted."
