But I have to admit that Justin moved on quite into a direction I will not follow. The new sounds are just not the kind of music I like and listen to. There's SO many good and wonderful new artists around whose debut-album I like much more than CYDMG or Uncle Devil Show. Del Amitri will stay my favorite band forever (at least the old albums), but I will not try to like something I don't really like just because Justin made it. So he may evolve as he likes, and I accept this. But I don't have to like it, It's all about taste, and now try to tell your taste that you should like something you don't. ;-) Dirk ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Jul 2003 19:30:42 +0100 From: "scott wallace" Subject: Re: OV: Re: "The uncle devil show" to listen or not to listen? Don't get me wrong - I love CYDMG. Even more so after I saw them play a lot of the songs live - which made them even better. The songs are great songs - the way they are recorded the album is different sure - but it's ok - then... when played live they were unmistakenably DEL AMITRI! What I'm talking about here is what 'appears' to be the mass acceptance of the UDS stuff merely because we are desperate to hear JC etc.. that's all. PS. I severly doubt you'd find JC loving 'pop' stuff too much or that record company pushed him to record in the style of Change Everything etc - I think he's in this project for the fun of it - not the musical satisfaction. I can remember lots of interviews with him where he hammers the 'pop' side of the music industry etc. Ciao Alessandro Quoting Mojo T Monkey : > I think they are both brilliant. Give 'em a chance.
