The switchover is supposed to happen tonight. This is all I know. You'll need to ask someone locally to help you with the reconfiguring, unless someone onlist wants to donate their time and talents! Good luck to all. This message will read the same in 5 seconds. Darren Admin. I agree with the reviewer, though, they are "vastly inferior" to the Dels. But then again, I'm biased. ;-) And I don't know that I'd have likened The Smiths and/or Echo & the Bunnymen to them, but I loved both in their hey days. I haven't thought about The Smiths in quite some time and I still like Echo & the Bunnymen a lot. Speaking of which, has anyone here seen the movie Donnie Darko? I knew I was gonna love it from the first few notes of "Killing Moon." ;-) - --- Jason Fiber wrote: > Thought you guys might be interested in reading an > online review of the > Del Amitri reissue. > > http://www.highbias.com/reviews/20030629_reissues.html#DelAmitri > > Cheers! > > Jason __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? That sounds like a pretty good topic for a thread. I probably also wouldn't have found the Devlins without OV. Here are a few others. Pretty crazy when I consider how much they mean to me... - - Wilco (which led to Uncle Tupelo, which led to Son Volt -- can't get enough of these guys) - - Monte Montgomery (thanks Ed) - - Matthew Ryan - - Ryan Adams - - Eileen Rose - - John Hiatt (last but definitely not least) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 1 Jul 2003 00:13:46 +0100 From: "Andrew Douglas" Subject: Re: OV: Del Amitri CD Revew As you mention Wilco, I just got their new DVD "I am trying to break your heart". Had to import it but it's multi-region. It's really amazing, during the making of the film they lost their record contract and a band member quit. The irony being that their original record company, Reprise, was owned by Warner. Reprise paid for the album, didn't want to put it out and gave it back to the band, no strings attached. Wilco then went and got signed to Nonesuch, who paid them 3 times the cost of the recording for it. Nonesuch are also owned by Warner!! - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Mitchell" To: Sent: Monday, June 30, 2003 11:55 PM Subject: Re: OV: Del Amitri CD Revew > On 6/30/03 5:43 PM, "debbsc67" wrote: > > > It's funny that they mention the Devlins, since I'd > > never have heard of them except through this list. > > That sounds like a pretty good topic for a thread.
