As an indie artist with a new record due out later this year -- and no major-label budget to buy my way onto radio! -- I'd really like to post a couple of my songs online at well-travelled (and well-run) sites so people can hear them in advance. Posts and/or private replies are welcome. Appreciate your insights here. One of them was Starsailor - before they became famous. MP3.com sends out regular mailings drawing attention to new bands, and if you find a track you like you can email it out to all your friends. They also provide a link so you can buy the CD as well and I've gone on to buy several albums after hearing tracks there.
