Justin usually claims to have written upwards of 30 songs per album. At least with the first few albums we could see where all the extra songs ended up - as b-sides we could acquire. But often we're left longing for songs they played live and never released: Drowned On Dry Land, Everyone Knows It's You, Waking Up, The Cringe, etc. I would kill (or at least maim) for studio versions (or decent live recordings) of those songs! One of my other favorite artists, Peter Himmelman, started releasing a series of CD's "From The Himmelvaults" comprised of demos, alternate versions, live songs, weird little improv things, and lost songs that never made it onto an album. He sells them through his website and at shows. Now that the boys are free from Mercury's shackles, perhaps this is something they might consider doing. ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V5 #40 *********************************
