I thought it was wonderfully well done and even if it wasn't quite as brilliant as _Bachelor No. 2_ it's still Aimee Mann and that means that it's still amazing songwriting in my book. And I understand your reason for being turned off to _The Rising._ Personally, that's one of the reasons that endured me to it. Mostly because Springsteen took it in a different direction than most people who decided to write Sept. 11th anthems. Slightly tangental: The best Sept. 11th-related song that I heard from last year was Sleater-Kinney's "Far Away" from their newest album, _One Beat._ No one did a better job of summing up what it felt like to watch that all go down. And of course also work in the line: "While the President hides/Working men rush in/to give their lives." josh. " There is just one way to save yourself, and that's to get together and work and fight for everybody." - Woody Guthrie _________________________________________________________________ The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 23 Feb 2003 23:17:55 -0000 From: "Claire O'Rourke" Subject: [none] Was anyone watching Cold Feet tonight?
