I talked to him on the phone yesterday. He's really nice! Anyway, he's re-releasing the albums of 12 artists or so, and he's also including bonus tracks. Um, not that that tells you anything new, other than I think that he's really doing it ;) - ------------------------------------------------------------------- Alison Bellach: alibee@delamitri.com http://alibee.linex.com http://www.delamitri.com "If you want peace, work for justice." ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Feb 2003 08:28:17 -0800 (PST) From: Alison Bellach Subject: OV: newwwww There's new stuff up on the site! But I take no credit for finding it; I just post it. Darren H. kindly typed up the liner notes and scanned the covers and cd for the Masters album. True, but it will be our new "baby" and the guys were pretty young when they made it.... ;-) Any hints as to what the bonus tracks would be? debbie Yahoo! Well, I guess that would mean me (the Superfecta guy with the cryptic note)... Superfecta Recordings will be reissuing the self-titled debut album from Del Amitri sometime in the near future (no later than April). The release date is still not confirmed, but the CD will be made available for sale online before the in-store date - and it will be made available via the Del Amitri US website (thanks Allison!!!) and hopefully this list (if that's okay) first. The release is the original 10 track album + 4 bonus tracks. The bonus tracks are the 4 b-sides from the 12" singles that were released from the album: This King Is Poor The Difference Is Lines Running North Brown Eyed Girl (obviously these 4 tracks are seeing a CD release for the first time ever). All 14 tracks have been digitally remastered by Tom Baker of Precision Mastering (the band has already heard the remastered album and given a thumbs up on the sound). The packaging includes new liner notes written by Justin Currie, complete album lyrics, a reproduction of the original LP back cover (which was strangely not reproduced for the original CD release) and a collage of pictures, reviews and memorabilia supplied by the band. The CD will sell for $13.99 US and unfortunately for anyone outside the US, it will only be available for sale in the USA (though there's no reason it can't be exported to shops outside the US or ordered online and sent overseas). I promise to post more to this list - as well as to delamitri.com (and to superfectarecordings.com as soon as it's launched)- as soon as more is confirmed. Cheers! Could it be those Del Amitri lads? It'd be nice if someone from the band would give us a scrap of information as to what is going on. Or do they WANT us to forget about them?
