I've never watched the show before, but actually did see it last week because
my daughter had heard about the show from friends at school & wanted to see
what the 'hoo-doo' was about.  When they showed the two women singing that
song, I blurted out 'Freda Payne!!' & started singing along... I hate to admit
it, but I remember hearing the original version on the radio!  I was very very
very young, tho, probably still in the cradle.  Maybe.

What in the world IS going on???  This looked almost too good to be true (and
I thought it was when I clicked on the link & it wouldn't show me anything -
but do a search on Del Amitri and boom there it is...).  Does this mean the
band isn't going to slink off to oblivion after all???

I for one cannot get excited about this release at
all. I can't see the point in it at all, and with
non-existent promotion how many units will it sell
anyway? Hatful of Rain was a much better package,
there's nothing outstanding about this release in the
slightest.

There's really nothing to get overly excited about... except that
it's another disc to add to the collection.  I was going to say that
these compilations are cheap, but HoR is at the point where it's just
as cheap!

I assume the guys still get songwriting royalties on sales of this
compilation, though.  So, it's more cash in the kitty to produce an
indie album!
