My top album for the year is unquestionably Concrete Love by Julia Fordham. My complete annotated top ten for 2002 will be forthcoming soon. Cheers to all for the holidays. - William Kates _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8. My computer completely crashed recently, and I lost everything on my hard drive, apparently through my own actions. I had been amassing quite a variety of Del Amitri B-sides, live stuff, etc, but now it's all gone. Most of the stuff I can live without. But I'm hoping generous fans will be willing to send me the studio recordings of "Out in the Wind", "The King is Poor", and "Evidence". To me, these three songs are all among the best Dels songs I've ever heard, and my life is slightly poorer without them. I'd appreciate any help. In other thoughts, I know that many of you have given your opinions about CYDMG. I never read any of them because I didn't want them to taint my own. I've had the album for over 6 months, I think, and I think it's a good album and not much more. I think the first two songs are probably the two worst songs they've ever put on an album. Once you get past them, it gets better. I did buy two single versions of JBYL, and think the B sides are pretty good. Any of "I'm an Unbeliever," "Belong Belong," "You Love Me" or "Septic Jubilee" might have been better than the first two songs, and say, "Jesus Saves." Just one man's opinion.
