Peter Gabriel's new album "UP" has been out for a few weeks now. Anyone else have it? I think it's absolutely brilliant! It's dark and atmospheric at times and at others it's vulnerable and beautiful. He's mixing styles up again only like he does. The man really is a genius, and of course no matter what he does it's always "that" voice that is just superb. I just hope it's not another 10 years until the next record. And you thought the Dels took their time! Been meaning to buy it myself as I've been a big fan of his for the past 30 years (ugh!! Is it really as long as that) but not got around to it yet. Did buy the latest Mark Knopfler last week though and that's rather good in an understated way (and I bought a dozen or so copies of the Otway single - Yay !!!! We're at No 9 in the charts!!) . Wonder when we'll next be able to say we're off to buy the new Del Amitri CD...... Jane ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We're No 9 in the UK Charts!!! They did old stuff like Can Utility and the Coastliners and the whole Supper's Ready (with costumes!), odd ones like The Knife and The Battle of Epping Forest and more from back then, and some of his solo stuff including Humdrum and Biko. The singer was surprisingly good, who would ever guess someone could sound like Peter Gabriel? Thanks for the report, I've heard from a couple people how good this is now and I might have to check it out. ===== - -Doug .
