He is quite excited about it as apparently there could well be some record industry people there. The band is called MAKO. It is only #4 to get in and the bar is open until midnight. I'll be the one with the soft drinks coz I am driving. Jim Hopping Last time my band played the Grey Horse the police shot a guy outside the pub about an hour before we went on! Charming. Apparently he'd been in the pub, waving a gun around or something. Needless to say - we haven't been back since! I first encountered her when she joined the Hooters for a one or two year period just before they hung it up. The Hooters (not be be confused with the restaurant chain) came from my hometown of Philadelphia, and their major label releases only hint at how good they were. Mindy was a very pleasing addition; her violin work fit wonderfully with their tunes. _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 20 Jul 2002 17:01:55 -0700 (PDT) From: doug brown Subject: OV: OT: Black Lab, the next great rock band Well since SOME people aren't keeping you up to date on them and I can't remember who all are fans here's news. Their new Sony CD has been delayed but they have a song on the Spiderman soundtrack that kicks butt (Learn to Crawl) and at their unofficial site http://home1.gte.net/res04658/blacklab/index.html you can download a sample of new video (See the Sun) and song (Ecstasy). Official site is http://www.blacklabweb.com/. They are a rocking band kind of like the harder parts of Goo Goo Dolls, but with a style all their own, are unbelievable live and to the best of my knowledge are the only band everyone comes away from saying, "That guy sure reminds me of David Bowie".
