The drum beat can be annoying, but it's better than the little trumpet thing on out falls the past. Last hurrah? Boring, drawn out, warbling falsetto... Typically, I skip hurrah, baby it's me, and last cheap shot...but I'm a young punk with bad taste in music, so my preferences typically mean nothing. I listened to hurrah last night again, and without the "hold on, I wanna say" bit, it's really quite lovely. But that part kind of ruins the rest of it for me, as far as the whole package goes. Wash her Away and Just Getting By are my favorites, different as they are. Except I wish I could figure out how to chop that hidden weirdness from the back of just getting by... In fact, I'd probably say it's my favorite song on the album. I think it's a lovely sort of discord-type melody that I do like. I think this album really does have a little bit of everything...including the weirdness...I know exactly what you're talking about. I still like Just Getting By despite the underlying weirdness. It sounds like a good soundtrack-type song, doesn't it? Wash Her Away is HOT. I really like that song. What a lucky little muse to have such a song written about her. debbie - --- Leah D Schenkenberg wrote: > ok, opinions change, as they always do.
