I didn't know they still did the university circuit in 1997/98.... Mind you, they did play at the Warwick University Students Union in late 1989 / early 1990 and they were great. It was around the time of the NEH single. They played songs off WH and not a single bum was still. Ahh, the days of youth. Looking back, I think del is the first and only band I've grown up with. > The deadest place I've seen the dels was the Warwick Arts centre in '98 (might have been '97). Great > performance though, full credit to the band. >Cheers >Q Have a nice day, Y. T. Vaswani Non-disclosure does not constitute a lie LAUNCH - Your Yahoo! Um, Mike, I don't think it was the breasts that made them lose it so much as the dropping the pants and the associated display of, um, regions of anatomy that aren't usually exposed in public. I think the girls had pushed their way in front of Sandro and his friends, so no doubt he'll be able to tell us the whole story on his return! Still, I haven't laughed so much at a Dels concert before. I'd love to see what the band make of it in the band diary! Hilary - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Hancock" To: "Oppositeview" Sent: 17 May 2002 20:59 Subject: OV: The breast concert yet! Justin missed his lines several times but no more so than when several bras were thrown from the audience. Then during 'Kiss this thing goodbye', the penultimate song, he missed a complete verse with uncontrolled laughing. Later we found that several girls had revealed their breasts at him!! Needless to say Andrew and I were pretty disappointed that we missed this, but made up for it by ensuring that all our party were not responsible and still had their bras on :o). ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 May 2002 12:51:05 +0100 (BST) From: =?iso-8859-1?q?georgina=20phillips?= Subject: Re: OV: Re: The breast concert yet! lmao guys!!!!!! I've been a fan of the dels for a long long time now...in fact it's a wee bit frightening to realise just how long. I feel sorry that they don't get the recognition (or airplay) that they deserve. They should do a bit more to promote themselves. After all, their music/lyrics are the best and deserve to be heard by a much wider audience. Anyway, enough of my grumblings...don't want you all to think I never stop moaning!!! Going to see the boys at the Barras on Monday night...should be a good one. :o) Cheers Dianne :o) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 18 May 2002 15:32:54 -0400 From: "the Gardners" Subject: OV: its a quiet afternoon Its a quiet afternoon, my house is empty and of course I went to work on my web page again... Ever wanted to see what Darren looks like? How about Kevin (when he still had hair?? They're there! Somebody who was at DelFest 98 in Chicago tell me what is the name of the young woman who is standing to the right of Darren; I somehow wasn't around her much that weekend & don't know her name! She was a photographer, I think, and was there with her friend named Juli... and Jen Woyan, I am so sorry but I do not have a single photograph of you at all!!! And we had such a neat conversation at the Duke of Perth too; don't think I left you out on purpose! TTFN Susan "Come right away to find the joy I've found Don't hesistate to give up everything.
