Yes they are - I think it's Wash Her Away. The words on the back of the book are readable on the promo flyer that we got last week. I can transcribe them tonight if anyone's interested. It's a bit gory. :-) Hilary - -----Original Message----- From: Libby Graham [mailto:e.a.graham@reading.ac.uk] Sent: 02 April 2002 11:05 To: MinervAthene@aol.com; oppositeview@smoe.org Subject: Re: OV: Did you notice... I went out this lunch time and found a copy in Our Price although it was the third shop I went in and I had to ask at the counter and they were in a box at the back of the storage area. Seems that the release has been met with a wave of apathy by the whole music industry. Big shame that. I've been away for a couple of days and not had chance to go through my e-mails yet, so forgive me if everyone else has had the same experience... While visiting friends and family this weekend I went to my old favourite record store in Grimsby. I scanned the shelves for the new single and was disturbed to note that it wasn't immediately obviously on display. Of course, I was expecting to find that the single had been pulled, but no, the nice shop assistant pointed me in the direction of the CD singles and told me they had a copy of each version. ONE COPY of each... How the hell are people supposed to buy it if there's none being ordered? So, to anyone in Grimsby that may be on the list and couldn't get hold of a single, please accept my apologies. I didn't check Virgin, so I don't know what the story was there. I expect it would be much the same. Must go then, haven't stopped moving yet and given myself time to listen to the damn things properly yet! Thanks for listening! Had my first three listens this afternoon and it grew better and better. Chris, The Hives have been recording and performing for a decade but, until now, unknown outside their home territory. The recently released Poptones UK album is, in very basic terms, a "best of". On what grounds have you judged them, "the most Manufactured band around just now"??? ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Apr 2002 01:43:41 EST From: NIGELBLUES@aol.com Subject: OV: Re: oppositeview-digest V4 #60 In a message dated 09/03/02 10:52:15 GMT Daylight Time, owner-oppositeview-digest@smoe.org writes: > I have a problem?? > > Most of the Pals i have are into hard hitting house and Jungle Music.. > > The dates Del Amitri play london i have 20 Tickets for my good Friends to > see the Dels play live as part of a stag weekend.Do you think the band > will enjoy playing to 20 odd drunken fans expecting the Prodigy to come > on stag? > > Or should i tell them the truth? > > Joe (The ones no ones chat to) > Heya Joe Could be worse Joe. you could be taking them to see QPR, those Division 2 also rans.
