Last night, my "Can You Do Me Good?" also came through at #10.20. I ordered it pre-release through www.sanity.com.au... no worries, all is good. Then I got a message saying they were not going to be supplied and my order was promptly refunded. Oh no! What will I do? Never fear Darren came to the rescue, telling me that supply difficulties are a reasonably common thing in his experience...phew! I can breath again. But then... To test the waters again. I ordered the CD again (as you do). Same outcome as before which was not a major surprise but now that I go to the HMV.au site the album is not even listed in pre-release...which is pretty weird for HMV as they are usually weeks ahead of every other site for pre-orders. Me thinks that maybe Mercury and/or the distributors are not exactly playing honest injun. This would be bloody stupid because, just like the UK, there is a large fan base here who would jump at the chance to secure the new album, particularly since the pronounce lack of touring here has always meant that the band has added little tid bits to the Aussie release to keep us happy. This also creates added sales from all the fans OS from OZ, for a change, doubling up to get the Aussie tracks. I am hoping that as I go to check HMV again, after I send this, that my fears will prove unfounded and that dog-eared paper back is happily gazing up at me from the cover in the pre-release section, but I am not so sure anymore. Any ideas Darren? Anyone? Thanks ===== Take care, Michael:) "You can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good headstart". Found it helped to re-check every now and again. Birgit (Still nervous and thinking about what German record shops'll offer Tuesday.
