I've got that song stuck in my head now...and it's not a bad thing. His song (apparently) is about the difference a year makes in his situation with his old band vs. his solo work. Not exactly the same, but the tie in to the Dels is that he cites them as one of his favorites. Oh to see them play together... debbie - --- Jane Armstrong wrote: > > "We tried to talk Mercury into releasing an EP > before Christmas but they > > couldn't be bothered even thinking about it.JC" > > This was in response to my question re Everybody > Knows That It's You. > > He does sound particularly pissed off with the whole > business doesn't he! > When we met Iain, Kris and Mark last January they > were so optimistic and up > beat. They will not get your Del Amitir record played. Quite the opposite actually. Tank" radio@radio "If you'd like to send us a copy of this single then we might consider playing it!!!!!! And this is a band who have had several albums in Q's best of the year polls. Is JPR even attempting to get some advance press for them? Hello? Maybe something in the March issue to alert people of the single... album... fact that they still exist... They probably didn't have their tour dates set in time for an ad to be placed! At least Uncut mentioned the record already, so maybe they'll take notice. ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V4 #47 *********************************
