Your best bet is to check the return policy of the store you are buying from and also the warranty provided by the manufacturer - then all other things being equal, go for the low price. Good luck. - William Rosemary Lucas wrote: Help! As you all probably know, New Year's Eve saw Justin join oh, some other folk, as the Glasgow Allstars. Despite living near the city, I didn't make it through to see the gig, but I thought I'd at least be able to hear the broadcast. Unfortunately, Radio Clyde decided to devote most of their airtime to the Dance Stage! I decided to email the station to see if it was possible to get the entire recording, and this is the email I received in return: Hi Sarah, Thanks for the note. We were all over the city on Hogmanay and taking feeds from all the stages - jsut a pity that when you tried us you were getting a feed from the dance arena. [me: hurrumph!! I taped the whole thing, and there were all of FOUR Allstars songs played!] We recorded everything from Monday night and will be making plans for the material in the next week or so. It's entirely possible that we'll put the All Stars set up on the website for people to listen to. It was really fantastic and a real one-off. You won't be disappointed. Thanks for the note - keep checking the website for more details. Regards Ross Macfadyen Programme Controller Radio Clyde So, if we all keep our fingers crossed, maybe we'll all get to hear the whole set!! If anyone else thinks it might be worth (politely) expressing interest in the station either providing the songs on their website, or making it available more tangibly (ie available to buy recording - I'm not sure if they'd be allowed to do that, though - perhaps if someone suggests the proceeds going to charity?), the guy's email address is: Ross.MacFadyen@radioclyde.com and the website is: http://www.radioclyde.com/ All the best for 2002 - and hey, the album's out this year!! :o) Sarah ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Jan 2002 22:25:19 -0000 From: "Hilary Gray" Subject: OV: Re: NYE Allstars gig Thanks for that Sarah. I'm busy composing a nice polite note! Just as an addition, on heading over to the 'Sessions' section of the site, there is a groovy version of Not Where It's At on there (dig those Andy keyboards!) - looks like some other interesting artists too - Paul Carrick, Squeeze, Supernaturals to name a few. It's true. Start the year with a bang cos Jo wiley has picked "Baby You're My Light" (now out on 4/2/02 on Setanta) as her single of the week next week! That means you'll be able to hear it every day next week and prod whoever sits next to you at work and tell them how good it is etc! We got an idea that she was into it when she played it on Xmas Eve but drop her a line at ; jo.whiley@bbc.co.uk Once you've heard it to let he know what you think! If you are based outside of the UK you can listen online at ; http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/ Other news is that he is recording a 3 song solo acoustic session for Radio 1's new programme The Blue Room on 7/1/01, though the broadcast date is yet to be confirmed - and that Richard's debut as a producer, a song called "So Young" by Hoggboy was played on daytime radio 1 for the first time today on Mark n' Lard. The track sounded ace - though nothing like Hawley himself, & the lad got a name check at the end of the tune too!! (visit www.hoggboy.com for more info). It's all happening!
