Loved Harry Potter > but this is in a different league. The cartoon LOTR did indeed suck major mud thru a straw, didn't it?!? About time a good version came out; I haven't seen it yet with all the Christmas preparations going on. Did the guy playing Aragorn remind anyone else besides me of our favorite guitarist?? I read the Lord of the Rings series back during college days (the late late 70's) and was absolutely amazed that a writer could create such a detailed, fascinating world. Between reading Tolkien and the south's best writer Thomas Wolfe, I realized that I was NOT destined to be a writer like I thought during all my high school & freshman college years - I knew I could never delve as deep into my own life as Wolfe did and I didn't have the imagination or patience of Tolkien! Funny how sometimes an obvious sign that you're not supposed to pursue a certain path is as meaningful as the sign you receive instructing you in the way to go. BTW I got to visit Wolfe's grave this fall in Asheville, North Carolina and yes I placed a stone & a leaf on the top of the headstone... I'm really not sure it's healthy for you to get worked up and lustful at this time of the morning Jane. :o) From photo 5 it looks like we have the partial return of the floppy Justin fringe. Yay! Makes up for Kris's rapidly receding hairline. And Andy looks as miserable as ever. Apparently they ran a piece on Celebrity Christmas (not sure how they came across it !) and dedicated half of Page 3 to it (and all Brits know what's USUALLY on Page 3 of the Sun - topless models!). Someone posted a bit on the UK BB about it saying it wasn't in the true spirit of Christmas. If anyone can send me a scan, photocopy of original of this article I would be very grateful. Please mail me off-list. Jane ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V3 #320 **********************************
