Jane ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Dec 2001 18:21:44 -0000 From: "Jane Armstrong" Subject: OV: Nothing... Oh dear! I have a big problem. My eldest son is playing a shepherd in the Church Nativity play this Sunday, and I've been running though his lines with him. Unfortunately he has to say the words "Nothing Ever Happens" - not once, but THREE times. How on earth am I going to sit through the performance without singing the inevitable?? And how am I going to stop my youngest son (who's mildly autistic and keeps on repeating things we've laughed at in the past,) singing it too - especially as he'll be on stage as an innkeeper. I think I shall have a very sore tongue from biting it so hard. Jane ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Dec 2001 18:47:20 -0000 From: "Jane Armstrong" Subject: OV: Here's one for Nigel.... There's a Yahoo Club called Del Amitri Fan Talk, and one of the contributors was on the phone the other day when she was put on hold and had to suffer the interminable muzak. Suddenly she recognised the song - it was a muzak version of Cry To Be Found!!! Argh!!! Nigel - don't ever call a Sears Travel Agent! Leah - do you remember the muzak Police record they were playing in your hotel in Hammersmith??? So you lucky people in the US can sit around and listen to it before going off to your own celebrations live at http://www.clyde1.com/ For those of us in the UK who will be out well, we'll just have to rely on any kind people in Scotland who can offer to record it off the radio for us......... (Personally I shall be spending it in the company of a Mr E Clapton which is indoors and only 20 minutes away from home and a darn sight cheaper than flying up to Glasgow) Jane ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Dec 2001 21:53:13 -0000 From: "Jane Armstrong" Subject: OV: New bit on the card There's a new bit on the Christmas Card - a silly collage using those mad photos from the band's diary. Confusingly not all of the celebs on the picture are in the song and vice-versa. I could only see the picture by going to the liquorice site.... It's like an advent calendar isn't it - wonder if we'll get something else tomorrow :o) Hilary ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Dec 2001 22:44:14 -0000 From: "Hilary Gray" Subject: OV: The Fast Show Just a heads up. The Fast Show was mentioned earlier this week, as the Dels appeared in the first series, episode 4. Play UK is currently showing series 1, episode 3. There is another episode at 00.25 tonight, which may be a repeat of ep 3 or it may be ep 4., can't tell. The Fast Show then appears to take a Christmas break and is then on Thursday 3rd Jan at various times. If the episodes are being played in order, then the Dels should be on either tonight or in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately the website at www.playuk.tv doesn't list more details about the episodes currently scheduled.
