Hi ya'll, I just found out that one of our own OVers celebrated his 24th birthday on the day before St. Andrew's Day... Andrew Metz! May I send a somewhat belated but nonetheless sincere Happy Birthday to my friend! Although cancer and crazed attackers aside, he had an incredible life that most of us would envy. I'm thinking a loose adaptation of Bill Maher's comment re: Jerry Garcia's early death would apply here- "I'd rather have 58 George Harrison years than 100 Newt Gingrich years". Amen. There's a basement pub in my old neighborhood where the jukebox is still very heavy w/Beatles, Dylan, The Band, Neil Young. Whenever a much loved icon dies, the regulars buy each other rounds and hold an informal wake. I plan on heading down to have a tribute Guinness to the Quiet One. Cheers, George. Good luck on your journey to the other side. We'll miss ya. - --- Rosemary Lucas - --- prudencetofu@earthlink.net - --- EarthLink: It's your Internet. ------------------------------ End of oppositeview-digest V3 #300 **********************************
