My sister used to be friends with most of the local record reps and we got into some pretty cool little intimate shows for the record reps and their guests from time to time. One of the shows was Jewel's before she was really known. Just her and her guitar, singing & yodeling, telling stories, etc. She even had little poetry books with her drawings/scribbles and they were given out for free (I still have mine, too...probably worth a small fortune :-) After this show (same night), she opened at quite a larger venue, opening for Peter Murphy, make fun of the squelchie, squeaky voice crap the Cranberries' singer does/did, and made my night. I was moving into my house, so we didn't stay for all of Peter Murphy. It was too hot, we had packing to do, and I was really mostly there for Jewel anyway. - --- doug brown wrote: > >>In closing there shall be no more discussion of > >>sexual fantasies. > > I agree, sex has no place in true rock and roll. Yes, too much turkey and family in one day for my general liking...and people wonder why we Americans are the way we are...oh well. Great - hopefully we'll get a good bunch together for the chat. Also, Jane - your justification that you've only "actually seen" Justin 15 times doesn't preclude you from being a stalker - if your goal was to be in close proximity of another individual with the intent to see, monitor or in any way follow said individual without their expressed permission, technically, you're still a stalker - a sweet, lovely one, but a stalker nonetheless. Perhaps you could've sold the trus for bail money.... Cheers.
